I love this time of year – the crunchy orange and yellow leaves, the harvest plays (more so when I was a wee one), the fresh air and the lead up to Christmas.
From a young age, I watched the USA celebrate Halloween, with their decorations, trick or treating, scary film fests, dressing up in costumes and carving pumpkins and have loved the whole commercial celebration.
It’s a fantastic way to embrace your inner child and another excuse to decorate and get dressed up. Every Halloween I try and do something – whether it’s getting dressed up and going to a party, baking cupcakes with bloody frosting and knives, walking through a cemetery, watching horror films and even trick or treating hah!
Living in the UK, I know many people don’t appreciate the holiday like like they do in the States – but I think it’s just so much fun – always have.
I love horror – films, haunted houses, being frightened, TV programme horror specials – I really get a kick out of it and it gets my adrenaline pumping. I don’t think it’s anything to be concerned about, but who know, maybe it is! Muahahahaha!
