As some of you may know, I am back in the glorious United States of America. I’m currently in my old college town staying with friends and it’s crazy how much I’ve outgrown this place. I have always missed being here and couldn’t understand why everyone wanted to escape this small town.
Now, I finally understand – there is not enough opportunity for people our age. The novelty of college has dissipated (probably because I’ve seen more to life than partying in college) and the only reason why I would come back here is to see my amazing friends. Even they are looking to move now too.
I am so lucky living in the London and the U.K. in general (despite what’s up in the air for our future in regards to Brexit!) but I will always think of this place very fondly with great college memories. I just don’t think this is the place I want to live in anymore. I love DC and NYC so when I go there in the next couple of weeks, we’ll see how I’m feeling then. But, in terms of small towns… I don’t think I could do it long-term.
I will forever be #CityGirlSabrina.
